Academic Programs
OSU provides both thesis and non-thesis pathways for Master's degree candidates.
The thesis track involves completing 30 credit hours of graduate coursework, including six thesis credits, ideal for students pursuing academic careers or those wanting deeper research experience for professional development.
The non-thesis alternative also requires 30 credit hours of graduate study, tailored for students seeking advanced coursework to prepare for leadership roles in the hospitality and tourism sector.

Qualification Requirements

A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale is required In exceptional circumstances students with a lower GPA may be admitted if there are other indications of ability to complete graduate level work
Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation CV a statement of purpose and goals which support the applicants interest in the HTM masters degree program
Applicants for whom English is a second language are required to demonstrate an acceptable level of spoken English by submitting a TOEFL or IELTS score English language tests remain valid for two years from the test date Minimum overall accepted scores are TOEFL 79 iBT 53 PTE Academic or 6.5 IELTS academic stream
Applicants with a non Business bachelors degree may be required to take additional coursework
A year of accumulative hospitality and tourism industry experience is preferred but not required Applicants with no or limited industry experience may be required to take an internship
