Water stands as one of life's essential elements - its availability and purity significantly influence all living organisms. Water regulations are transforming across government sectors to encourage smarter water utilization (and sometimes recycling) in residential areas, landscapes, and commercial operations. Our department's teaching and research focuses on intelligent irrigation systems, nutrient runoff management, assessment of drought-resistant plant varieties, urban wastewater recycling, and how water quality affects plant health. We are uniquely equipped to educate students about the complex water-related challenges of tomorrow.
