Academic Program
The IEM School pairs incoming doctoral candidates with faculty Champions aligned with their research interests, who will guide their studies and chair their dissertation committees.
Program Requirements
3 credit hours of IEM Doctoral Seminar
6 credit hours in research methodologies
Minimum 18 credit hours dedicated to dissertation research
At least 30 credit hours of total coursework (incorporating the Doctoral Seminar and Research Methods)

Qualification Requirements
PhD applicants with a masters degree must have a minimum masters GPA of 3.5
PhD applicants without a masters degree must have a minimum 3.5 undergraduate GPA
GRE scores are required except for applicants graduating with a 3.5 or above cumulative GPA from any economics engineering technology and science based undergraduate program at OSU or any ABET accredited program where the primary language of instruction is English
International applicants whose native language is not English must submit TOEFL scores with a minimum of 79 iBT or equivalent
Applicants must also submit three letters of recommendation a statement of professional goals and research interests no more than three pages and a current vitae resume
TOEFL 79 internet-based 550 paper-based.
