We aim to enhance your intercultural awareness and refine your communication abilities, both spoken and written, through specialized coursework and immersive opportunities like international study programs.

Students can complete degree requirements by choosing between a full semester abroad or intensive faculty-led courses lasting one to two weeks, organized by the Center for Global Learning.
Global studies majors have access to volunteer positions via OSU's on-campus Student Volunteer Center. For broader service opportunities, VolunteerMatch connects students with domestic and international volunteering positions that benefit communities while providing career exploration and practical experience.
Our professors possess specialized knowledge spanning all major world regions, including Latin America, the Middle East, Australia, Oceania, and more. They've secured grants from renowned institutions like UNESCO, National Geographic, Fulbright-Hayes, the National Science Foundation, and the International Research and Exchanges Board.
