The College of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University provides graduate-level education covering all facets of pharmaceutical sciences, from drug discovery to practical applications. Our pharmaceutical sciences graduate program combines rigorous coursework with innovative research in areas such as novel drug development, pharmacological effects, advanced drug delivery systems, and optimizing medication use for better patient care. Given the expansive nature of pharmaceutical sciences, we offer specialized tracks: Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy applies chemical and molecular approaches to develop therapeutic compounds, including both synthetic and natural-derived medicines. Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry examines drug interactions within the body, particularly focusing on targeted delivery mechanisms. Pharmacology investigates how drugs produce their biochemical and physiological effects. Translational Science bridges laboratory discoveries with clinical applications, while Health-Systems Pharmacy Administration prepares pharmacists to design, implement, and assess pharmaceutical services within healthcare organizations.
