The Master in City and Regional Planning (MCRP) program at The Ohio State University prepares students for professional planning careers by blending theoretical knowledge with practical application, while exposing them to cutting-edge developments in planning methodologies. This curriculum operates within a university that balances global academic excellence with its land-grant institution legacy of public service. MCRP students engage in hands-on practice through mandatory internships and real-world studio projects with clients. Many secure paid internships during their two-year program through the department's extensive network of public, nonprofit, and private partners. The MCRP curriculum focuses on developing leadership qualities, innovative thinking, and technical abilities to foster fair, sustainable, and effective communities worldwide, with international perspectives woven throughout the coursework. To enhance this global focus, we provide study abroad opportunities in locations like Ghana, Taiwan, Europe, and Latin America. Students can specialize in specific interest areas or expand their expertise through graduate minors or dual degrees, benefiting from the MCRP's integration within a comprehensive university environment. This program holds accreditation from the Planning Accreditation Board.
