The Ohio State University College of Optometry stands at the forefront of optometric education nationwide, providing Ohio's sole optometry program. Your experience will include: Starting hands-on patient care during your first year, conducting over 1,800 patient examinations before graduation, and gaining additional clinical exposure through community screenings, case analyses, grand rounds, and Eyewear Gallery consultations, Providing comprehensive eye care across all primary and specialized services such as: General Eye Care, Pediatric and Binocular Vision Services, Advanced Ocular Treatment, Contact Lens Fitting (for adults and children), Low Vision Services, Eyewear Gallery, and Vision Therapy Programs, Achieving excellent preparation to successfully complete national board examinations on your initial try, and Mastering practice management through our extensive business curriculum, covering everything from personal financial planning to creating detailed business strategies.
A baccalaureate or professional degree (or equivalent foreign credential) from an accredited college or university, earned by the expected date of entry into your graduate program. A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in all prior undergraduate and graduate work.
