This program aims to equip students with essential mathematical skills for industrial careers. It concentrates on mathematical theories and methods relevant to industrial applications, particularly in developing mathematical models for real-world problems and the analytical techniques to solve them. Students can choose between two specialization paths: continuous mathematics or discrete mathematics. Classes are scheduled in late afternoons and evenings to suit working professionals. Competitive teaching assistantships are offered to full-time enrolled students.

Qualification Requirements
Admission is selective. All applicants who have received a baccalaureate from an accredited institution with a cumulative grade point average or 3.00 or more will be considered. The successful candidate's background should include courses in multivariable calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations, and a knowledge of at least one high-level scientific programming language such as Pascal, Fortran, C, or PL/1. Students admitted without some aspects of the required background will be expected to remedy the deficiency before enrolling in many of the courses of the program.
