Social workers deliver the majority of mental health care across the United States. Those with Bachelor of Social Work degrees find employment in diverse settings including family service centers, child protection agencies, long-term care facilities, end-of-life care programs, addiction treatment centers, senior support services, correctional institutions, and educational environments. Their training equips BSW professionals to implement a structured change process or solution-focused methodology involving initial contact, analysis, strategy development, implementation, outcome assessment, and continued support. They serve various client populations ranging from individuals and family units to collective groups, organizational bodies, and neighborhood communities.
