This doctoral program allows you to customize your academic path with three distinct specialization options:

Drug Development (Pharmaceutics), concentrating on optimizing medication delivery to specific targets,
Molecular Medicine and Pharmacogenomics, emphasizing drug mechanisms and genetic interactions, or
Social and Administrative Pharmacy, examining medication utilization patterns and healthcare distribution networks.

Qualification Requirements

NSU's Silverman College of Pharmacy selects students based on academic performance, admissions interview, written applications, and letters of recommendation. Successful applicants will be required to comply with the guidelines outlined below.

Prior to matriculation, Ph.D. applicants must complete and receive a bachelor's degree in a field related to the sciences.
Students applying to the Drug Development (Pharmaceutics) or the Molecular Medicine and Pharmacogenomics sequences are required to have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy, chemistry, biology, biochemistry or related science fields.
Student applying to the Social and Administrative Pharmacy sequence are required to have earned a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, economics, statistics, public health, health services research, or other related fields.
Required minimum GPA of 3.0, on a 4.0 scale. (This is the total accumulation of bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees.)
Three letters of recommendations, on official letterhead with a signature, from professors or supervisors in the applicant's major field of study.
Proof of English proficiency (required of nonnative English speakers)
TOEFL: minimum score of 80 on the Internet-based test or 213 on the computer-based test
IELTS: minimum score of 6.0 on the test module
Duolingo: minimum score of 105 on the Internet-based test
