Northwestern University's accelerated AuD program equips you to practice autonomously in diverse healthcare environments such as private practices, medical centers, hospitals, and academic institutions. Recognized by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) and frequently ranked among the country's best programs by U.S. News & World Report, this AuD program readies you to tackle current and future challenges in audiology.
Each year, we welcome around 18 students, maintaining an exceptional faculty-to-student ratio. You'll collaborate directly with globally respected faculty specializing in hearing loss assessment and treatment, speech recognition, psychoacoustics, hearing aids, cochlear function, auditory neuroscience and electrophysiology, and auditory rehabilitation. Combining classroom instruction, hands-on clinical training, and guided research projects, you'll master cutting-edge techniques for diagnosing and managing hearing and balance disorders.
A minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. The average GPA for admitted students is 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.
Score 100 total or higher and 26 or higher on the Speaking section on the Internet Based TOEFL (IBT).
