Geography is the field of learning that examines places and their positions: understanding what exists where, the reasons behind their placement, and their connections to other spatial arrangements. While frequently grouped with social sciences, geography also qualifies as a natural science since comprehending human settlement patterns demands familiarity with Earth's physical characteristics. Environmental awareness forms the core of geographical inquiry, as human civilization exists within the context of the natural world. Geography stresses the importance of studying both physical landscapes and human societies in conjunction.
