Psychology students at Northwest explore the scientific examination of human cognition and actions. Faculty guide learners through three fundamental domains: research methodologies that sharpen analytical abilities, evaluating evidence and assertions, comprehending personal conduct, motivations, and mental patterns, plus grasping the biological and societal influences shaping human growth, intellectual abilities, interpersonal connections, and character. The Study Abroad option allows students to gain practical global exposure that enriches their academic journey. Professors oversee intensive overseas programs that support participants throughout the entire process. Students can choose between two program formats - faculty-directed courses or conventional study abroad arrangements. Traditional programs, lasting a semester, summer, or academic year, are conducted at Northwest's global partner universities. Business students have recently pursued educational experiences in destinations like China, Africa, and Eastern European nations such as Hungary, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
