What makes our Bearcats thrive after graduation is their hands-on experience. History students at Northwest can choose from over 35 distinct fieldwork and internship options during their studies.
When you reach graduation day, you'll have mastered critical thinking and forming evidence-based conclusions. These skills are ideal for careers in government, public service, corporate sectors, archival work, museum curation, historic conservation, as well as writing and research fields.
The program also provides numerous engagement opportunities to connect with fellow students. Through STOA Talks, participants can showcase their academic work publicly. In one notable project, students brought history to life by converting a classroom into a vibrant recreation of the 1889 Exposition Universelle, complete with art exhibits and scholarly presentations.
