Northwest's Political Science program equips graduates with diverse career prospects across both government and private industries, spanning federal, state, and municipal governance, legal fields, justice systems, urban planning, education, nonprofit leadership, electoral politics, policy evaluation, and international relations. The curriculum offers three specialized tracks: Criminal Justice explores legislative systems, law enforcement, judicial processes, and rehabilitation; Public Administration examines organizational decision-making and careers in governmental bodies at all levels; while Global Affairs analyzes worldwide developments and fosters cross-cultural competencies. This flexible, non-comprehensive major enables students to pair their studies with complementary minors, creating tailored expertise for future public or private sector roles.
