This certificate program offers foundational training in digital media production, covering areas such as narrative storytelling, documentary filmmaking, television production, and interactive media arts. Available to all undergraduate students at NIU, participants must maintain satisfactory academic progress, earn at least a C grade in every certificate course, maintain a minimum 2.00 GPA across all certificate classes, and finish all required coursework within six years. Note that certain courses may have prerequisites outside the certificate's scope. All certificate coursework must be completed through NIU. With departmental approval, certificate courses may count toward undergraduate degree requirements in the department. The Communication Department maintains the authority to restrict enrollment in certificate courses as needed.
