Students who maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and a 3.20 GPA in all departmental and non-departmental requirements will receive the B.S. degree with honors in chemistry. This requires completing 13 semester hours of honors chemistry courses (CHEM 325 and above, excluding CHEM 370), including CHEM 499 (2-4 credits) and presenting a capstone thesis. Chemistry plays a role in nearly every aspect of our lives, enhancing health, daily living, and environmental quality.
