This six-year accelerated program awards both a B.A. in World Languages and Cultures with concentrations in French and Francophone Studies, German Studies, or Spanish and Hispanic Studies, along with a J.D. degree. Prospective students must declare their intent to pursue this 3+3 Program with the World Languages and Cultures Department. Eligibility requires completion of at least 90 undergraduate credit hours (including all general education and major requirements) with a minimum 3.25 GPA for majors in these language studies. Qualified undergraduates may then apply to NIU's College of Law under this program's special admission criteria. Applicants must take the LSAT and achieve a score at or above the 50th percentile of the prior year's entering law class. Early application during junior year is strongly recommended. Admission is competitive, depending on applicant pool quality, general law school application numbers, and standard College of Law admission considerations.
