Northeastern's direct entry nursing program on campus enables you to transform your existing degree and professional background into a BSN and master's in nursing. This program is designed for individuals holding a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field who have completed prerequisite courses. Participants progress through the curriculum to achieve master's-level preparation as an Advanced Practice Nurse with a chosen specialization.

Qualification Requirements

A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
Two letters of recommendation, 1 academic and 1 professional. Letters of recommendation from family or friends are not accepted.
Personal Goal Statement including interest in nursing, advance practice nursing, and future goals.
Completion of the following prerequisites with a minimum grade of C or higher.
Science prerequisites with lab (microbiology, anatomy, physiology and chemistry)
Science prerequisites must have been completed within the last 7 years. These didactic courses and labs should be 4 semester hours or 6 quarter hours.
Additional prerequisites:
Statistics (including hypothesis testing and inferential stats),
Developmental Psychology (across the lifespan),
Nutrition,
1 Behavioral Science course (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology)
These courses must have been completed within the last 10 years, and should be 3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours.
Experience in patient care, volunteer or paid, is highly recommended.
A minimum score of 100 in the iBT TOEFL is preferred
A minimum score of 7.5 in the IELTS Academic is preferred
