This interdisciplinary combined major equips undergraduates to understand societies through international, transnational, and global perspectives from the 20th century onward. The program explores multifaceted theories spanning interstate dynamics (including conflict, cooperation, and power structures), civil society, transnational advocacy, global activism, and government-citizen relationships (covering governance systems, equity issues, and civic participation). As part of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, the international affairs program cultivates academic knowledge, cultural competence, and leadership abilities for success in our interconnected world, emphasizing global engagement and ethical responsibility. Our globally diverse faculty brings extensive research experience, with particular strengths in peace studies, international legal frameworks, and the intersection of identity, urban spaces, and world politics.
