The Department of Statistics provides degree programs for both a Ph.D. in statistics and a master's in applied statistics. These programs allow for customization based on students' backgrounds and career aspirations. First-year students are advised to consult with faculty members to explore potential research areas. By the completion of the first year, students should form their advisory and examination committee. Additionally, there's an option to pursue a combined master's degree in computer science and statistics. For non-majors, the department offers a graduate certificate in Statistics, requiring completion of 12 credit hours in graduate-level statistics courses.
