The Range Science program within the School of Natural Resource Sciences provides graduate education culminating in Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees. Specialized studies may focus on diverse fields including rangeland ecology, fire ecology, vegetation community changes, ecosystem service rehabilitation, land reclamation, and wildlife population studies in rangeland environments.
Academic and research plans are customized to align with each student's unique goals and interests. The program encourages cross-disciplinary methods in range science education.
For the Ph.D. degree, students must complete 90 semester credits (or equivalent) of graduate-level, letter-graded coursework while maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA.
