North Dakota State University boasts a rich heritage in economics education. Economics majors at NDSU benefit from learning under an experienced and distinguished faculty. Since students from all academic disciplines enroll in economics courses, these classes foster diverse perspectives through peer interactions. The Department provides two specialized pathways for economics majors: a general economics program and a quantitative economics program. The general track allows greater flexibility, permitting students to choose from various economics electives (15 credits total), with up to three credits applicable from agricultural economics, finance, or business administration courses. Designed for aspiring graduate students or those favoring analytical methods, the quantitative track particularly suits individuals with strong mathematical and statistical skills.
