As society tackles major global issues, including sustainability and forest biomaterials, evaluating the economic consequences of potential solutions becomes crucial. Life cycle assessments that examine real expenses throughout a product or process's lifespan help clarify the genuine worth and influence of emerging technologies. Innovations in sustainable techno-economics and environmental lifecycle studies provide researchers with comprehensive insights into projects from conception to completion. Our faculty actively evaluate how industry methods and benchmarks create value and drive change. Their specialized knowledge—from simulating pulp and paper mill operations to pioneering GIS integration with LCA modeling—is shaping the industry's dynamic evolution.
