The Textile Engineering Program combines various scientific and engineering disciplines in its comprehensive curriculum. Students in this program gain specialized knowledge, enabling them to engage in undergraduate research, summer internships, and innovative design projects—from creating artificial blood vessels to developing advanced water filtration systems for underserved communities, or designing protective gear for lunar astronauts. With intimate class settings and dedicated faculty mentorship, the program ensures personalized learning. Remarkably, nearly all graduates from the past three years have secured full-time positions or advanced to graduate studies. Within North Carolina State University, the College of Textiles leads in scholarship participation, with more than half of Textile Engineering students receiving financial awards. The curriculum establishes a strong engineering foundation before delving into textile-specific studies.
