In a constantly evolving world, grasping our past grows increasingly essential. It offers insight into the intricate and unpredictable nature of events. It presents us with varied and nuanced viewpoints. It highlights how often unintended outcomes arise. History builds bridges between countries, traditions, and economic systems while fostering thoughtful examination of events and transformations. The History program equips students with sharp analytical abilities that benefit engaged citizenship and diverse career paths. Traditionally, studying history has laid the groundwork for professions in finance, corporate management, legal practice, public service, social work, and education. Recently, many students have complemented their studies with minors in communications, technology, languages, social sciences, or business. These combinations have become particularly valuable in corporate and public sector roles. Our alumni include legal professionals, entrepreneurs, cultural institution leaders, medical practitioners, records specialists, elected officials, policy advisors, judicial figures, agriculturalists, culinary experts, armed forces personnel, and naturally, educators and academic historians. Regardless of their profession, they apply historical reasoning to understand why relationships succeed, business deals collapse, illnesses propagate, ideologies gain traction, or communities struggle to coexist.
