The Silver School of Social Work's Master of Social Work program provides avenues to explore policy, community engagement, and international social work through study abroad options. Our curriculum equips students with the necessary expertise and intersectional perspectives to address intricate societal challenges and create meaningful change. Our distinguished faculty comprises pioneering academics and practicing professionals who blend scholarly knowledge with hands-on experience in their teaching.
The Advanced Standing Program offers an expedited path to earning an MSW degree. Applicants who've completed a CSWE-accredited bachelor's in social work within the last five years qualify for this program. The coursework closely mirrors the Specialized Practice phase (second year) of the Two-Year track. This intensive program spans two semesters (fall-spring) with 600 practicum hours for students starting before Fall 2025, or 450 hours for those beginning Fall 2025 onward. Advanced Standing participants may select Diversity, Racism, Oppression, and Privilege as one of their two elective courses - consult your Academic Advisor about this option.
