The Master of Arts in Hebrew and Judaic Studies is granted to candidates who fulfill these requirements: completing 32 credits of graduate coursework (with at least 24 credits earned at NYU), taking the mandatory HBRJD-GA 1004 course on Contemporary Advances in Hebrew and Judaic Studies, proving Hebrew language proficiency plus one other foreign language, passing a comprehensive written exam, submitting a research paper from a departmental seminar, and receiving approval from two faculty members confirming the paper meets MA-level research standards.
