NYU School of Law provides combined degree options that award both a Juris Doctor (JD) and either a Master of Public Administration (MPA) or Master of Urban Planning (MUP). Candidates can complete a JD/MPA or JD/MUP through collaboration with NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. The NYU Wagner curriculum equips graduates to take on leadership roles across public, nonprofit, healthcare, and private sector organizations focused on public service. With training in management, policy analysis, and financial administration, Wagner alumni gain the expertise to address critical societal challenges. NYU Law accepts twelve Wagner credits toward JD requirements, while Wagner counts sixteen Law School credits toward the MPA or MUP degrees. Both the MPA and MUP programs require completion of 60 credit hours.
