The Music Technology PhD program equips students for academic and industry careers in research and teaching, focusing on the dynamic interplay between music, sound, and technology. This program explores diverse research areas including computer music, spatial audio, music cognition and neuroscience, computational sound analysis, and data-driven music applications, alongside innovative technologies for musical interaction, learning, composition, production, and inclusive design. The curriculum spans foundational studies, specialized coursework, research methodology training, dissertation preparation seminars, and intensive research projects.
