NYU Biology provides a collaborative setting where students engage in groundbreaking research alongside renowned faculty. The full-time PhD Program in Biology prepares students to become independent research scientists. Under faculty mentorship, students conduct original research in cutting-edge labs equipped with advanced technology, computational resources, and extensive digital and print collections. Weekly doctoral colloquia allow students to share their work with diverse audiences, while guest lectures and symposiums featuring leading experts expand the department's academic offerings. PhD candidates receive a guaranteed stipend to cover living expenses.
