NYU School of Medicine provides a combined MD/MPH program focused on global health. This program, offered in partnership with NYU's College of Global Public Health, enhances medical education with training in social sciences, epidemiology, public health policy, and international community health. The dual degree equips students to address pressing global health challenges.Students can complete the 40-credit MPH alongside their MD studies through either a traditional five-year track or an intensive four-year option, with applications accepted during the third year of medical school.The five-year dual degree path involves three years of medical coursework, one year dedicated to public health studies, and a final year combining evening MPH seminars with remaining medical rotations and electives.
