Developed in partnership with the prestigious NYU School of Medicine, this five-year MD/MPH in Global Health Leadership program enables students to combine medical education with public health studies through a global health lens. Upon finishing this intensive program, graduates will hold both a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Public Health (MPH), positioning them advantageously for advanced career opportunities in either discipline. The program enhances clinical medical education with public health competencies, equipping students to navigate the intricacies of disease prevention, health promotion, and healthcare systems in our interconnected world. The specially structured MD/MPH curriculum enables completion of both degrees within four to five years of full-time study. Typically, dual-degree students complete their MD requirements during the initial two to three years, followed by a year of MPH coursework. The final two MPH courses (2 credits per semester) - the Applied Practice Experience and Culminating Experience Seminar - are taken as evening classes during the last year of MD studies.
