Individuals holding a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing discipline may qualify for the Accelerated 15-month Program if they've completed required prerequisite courses before enrollment. These include Nutrition, Chemistry (with lab component), Statistics, Anatomy and Physiology (both I and II), Microbiology, and Developmental Psychology. This intensive program spans four consecutive full-time semesters, with start dates available in either September (fall) or January (spring). Upon completion, graduates will be ready to sit for the NCLEX-RN licensing exam.
Students in the Accelerated Baccalaureate track enroll at Meyers as undergraduates, receiving 44 advanced credits in liberal arts and 20 in sciences. These credits reflect prior bachelor's degree coursework plus fulfilled prerequisites.
Designed for career changers, this 15-month pathway allows degree holders from other fields to transition into nursing. Participants automatically receive 44 liberal arts credits from their previous accredited bachelor's program. The curriculum requires completion of prerequisite courses (Nutrition, Chemistry, Statistics, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, and Developmental Psychology) plus 64 nursing credits. Qualified candidates with a completed bachelor's degree and all prerequisites can earn their nursing BS in just 15 months.
