Indiana State University provides a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program designed for students without prior RN or LPN certification. This on-campus, four-year undergraduate degree thoroughly prepares graduates for rewarding registered nurse (RN) careers, including management positions. The School of Nursing welcomed its inaugural class in September 1962. Throughout its history, the program has focused on cultivating skilled, compassionate nursing professionals who become both leaders and engaged community members. Notably, in mid-2023, every graduate from Indiana State's traditional nursing program successfully passed the NCLEX-RN licensing exam on their initial try.
The freshman Indiana State University application is for entering freshmen who are (or soon will be) high school graduates and have not attended another college after graduating from high school. High school students may apply to Indiana State University any time after completion of their junior year in high school.
