The NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing provides a four-year Bachelor of Science program designed to ready students for the NCLEX licensure exam. Students begin this program as first-year undergraduates each autumn semester.
This BS program blends a robust foundation in arts and sciences with sequential nursing coursework that builds expertise in addressing healthcare needs across all life stages. The 128-credit program includes 44 credits in liberal arts, 20 credits in science prerequisites, and 64 credits dedicated to nursing theory and clinical practice. Along with NYU Meyers classes, participants enroll in courses through NYU's College of Arts and Sciences and Steinhardt School. With nursing-specific courses starting in the third year, students have the opportunity to participate in NYU's study abroad initiatives during their second year.
