The Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) Programs equip students with the skills to provide patient care across various healthcare settings. The curriculum combines studies in humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and specialized nursing education. These programs focus on both theoretical knowledge and hands-on clinical training for effective patient care. Students can obtain the associate degree by completing a certificate program along with MiraCosta College's general education requirements for an Associate in Arts degree (see Associate Degrees). Graduates will demonstrate the ability to enhance patient safety by applying nursing methodologies and clinical competencies to deliver therapeutic healthcare interventions.
