Neuroscience encompasses various fields dedicated to exploring brain functionality. Research methods in neuroscience range from examining molecular and cellular processes within individual neurons and neural networks to conducting behavioral and psychological investigations of entire organisms. Analytical techniques incorporate mathematical and computational models that have demonstrated effectiveness across scientific disciplines. Key research areas involve studying biophysical and neurochemical processes in single neurons, the dynamics of small neural circuits, the collective behavior of extensive neural networks, and the connection between nervous system activity and organism behavior. The Center for Neural Science offers a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience (this program does not include a Bachelor of Arts option or a minor specialization).
