The Bachelor of Science in Educational Theatre equips students to delve into a vibrant, expanding discipline that blends theatrical creativity with the potential to foster cultural understanding and drive societal transformation. The curriculum combines performance studies, drama education, theatrical literature, history of theatre, and applied theatre with foundational liberal arts courses. This adaptable, cross-disciplinary structure enables students to enhance their education through optional minors, dual degrees, and varied international study programs.
During their second year, students select a specialization track: Applied Theatre, Theatre Performance and Production, or Drama in Education. Each student culminates their studies with a hands-on capstone project in a senior seminar, showcasing their specialized knowledge. Program alumni earn theatre certification, pursue careers in performance and production, explore educational theatre in schools or communities, or assume leadership positions in arts institutions.
