The classical voice concentration features instruction in opera and art song repertoire, along with vocal coaching from prominent New York performers. Foundational studies encompass music theory, ear training, piano proficiency, and historical music studies. The curriculum incorporates acting, dance, language pronunciation, vocal technique, Alexander Method training, and involvement in musical theater workshops and full productions. Classical Voice students can explore interdisciplinary opportunities by engaging in musical theater activities alongside their core studies. Each Classical Voice student presents both a junior-year and senior-year recital. Additional courses in audio technology and music industry practices equip graduates for careers in professional performance.
