Pioneer the future of healthcare by training as an osteopathic physician-scientist—a dual-role professional providing patient care while advancing cutting-edge biomedical research. Our rigorous seven-year Osteopathic Medicine, D.O./Medical & Biological Sciences, Ph.D. program cultivates clinical experts who also drive scientific innovation.
The initial two years mirror standard medical school foundations, followed by three years of integrated Ph.D. studies in biomedical sciences once candidacy is secured. You'll engage in advanced coursework while conducting original research under NYITCOM faculty guidance, culminating in a doctoral dissertation (90 credits required). The program concludes with the clinical rotations expected of all NYITCOM students in their final two years.
To be eligible for admission into New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM), you must:
Have a baccalaureate degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. Candidates from a college where a formal articulation agreement exists for a combined degree are an exception to this requirement.
The following minimum scores required for full admission to graduate programs are:
IELTS score: 6.0
TOEFL (iBT) score: 79
Pearson PTE score: 53
