Learners from throughout the United States and internationally choose The Ohio State University's Department of Entomology for their studies. Our extensive faculty covers a wide range of research specialties. The graduate program is structured to achieve these objectives: Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of insect biology across all scales - from molecular to biosphere levels - while recognizing systemic relationships, They'll comprehend insects' economic impacts and ecological benefits, and how these influence scientific progress, policy development, and management strategies, and They'll develop research competencies, applying innovative problem-solving with ethical considerations to tackle interdisciplinary challenges while effectively communicating findings to diverse groups.
A baccalaureate or professional degree (or equivalent foreign credential) from an accredited college or university, earned by the expected date of entry into your graduate program. A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in all prior undergraduate and graduate work.
