The Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program at NMSU consists of 60 credit hours delivered through a combination of traditional and hybrid classes. This 24-month professional degree program begins in June and equips students to take the Board of Certification (BOC) examination for the ATC credential. NMSU is presently pursuing program accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education. Admission is selective, with applications processed through the ATCAS centralized application platform.

Qualification Requirements

A student seeking admission to graduate school at NMSU must hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree or an advanced degree from a regionally accredited institution. The academic program of the completed degree should be equivalent to a comparable NMSU degree's requirements.
Students must send official transcripts from their prior colleges or universities directly to the Graduate School.
An international applicant whose grade-point average (or its equivalent) is greater than or equal to 3.0., from a four-year bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
