Kinesiology equips students for diverse careers in healthcare professions. Graduates may pursue paths such as medical school, physical or occupational therapy, athletic training, corporate wellness programs, chiropractic care, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, among other options. The Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology offers three specialization tracks: Exercise Science, Performance Psychology, or Physical Education. Credit hour requirements are detailed in the program descriptions. All concentrations require completion of 120 semester hours for the degree. Kinesiology majors must also earn 48 upper-level credits (courses numbered 3000/300 or 4000/400). A minimum 2.75 GPA is required for most upper-division SPMD courses. Students must achieve at least a C- in ENGL 1110G, Area II General Education courses, Kinesiology coursework, and approved electives.

Qualification Requirements

Students who meet the minimum high school course requirements of the state from which they receive their high school diploma must meet one of the following criteria in order to be admitted:

Cumulative high school GPA of 2.75, or
ACT composite score of 21 or SAT score of 1060, or
Ranked in the top 20 percent of their high school graduating class or
A GED cumulative score of 480 or HiSET cumulative score of 45
