This program emphasizes how individuals interact throughout different life stages and how social and economic conditions affect family dynamics. Graduates gain qualifications for careers in social services, community organizations, and programs supporting children and families. The National Council on Family Relations recognizes this degree as a CFLE-approved curriculum. Upon completing the required courses, students demonstrate competency in all ten Family Life Education Content Areas and become eligible for provisional certification. Those with provisional status can upgrade to full certification after gaining adequate professional experience in family life education. Close collaboration with an academic advisor is essential. Students must earn at least a C- in all core and minor courses, repeating any required classes where they score below this threshold.
