Offered by NJIT's Biology Department, the Graduate Certificate in Neuroscience is a dynamic program featuring newly introduced courses since Fall 2018. This curriculum connects various aspects of nervous system structure and operation, spanning from individual neurons to complex behaviors and cognitive processes. Participants will explore cellular and molecular biology, biophysics, and neuronal electrophysiology. The program covers how these elements contribute to neural network and system operations, along with computational methods for analyzing neural signaling and information processing. These core biological and computational concepts can be implemented to examine medical diagnostics, treatments, and technologies such as electrical stimulation, advanced imaging methods, and neural interface devices.
