NJIT's Applied Physics Ph.D. program, renowned both nationally and globally, equips doctoral candidates with both practical abilities and theoretical understanding for thriving careers in academia, government, or private sector roles. Candidates will develop the necessary expertise to succeed in their written qualifying examinations while acquiring the experimental and theoretical foundation required for their research, culminating in an oral presentation and defense of their doctoral dissertation.
