The Paralegal Specialist Certificate in Litigation is designed to equip you with essential legal skills for effectively and ethically supporting litigation practices. This specialized paralegal track focuses on case evaluation, legal research, preparing pleadings, motions and discovery documents, handling evidence, and trial preparation. The program delivers rigorous academic training combined with hands-on learning experiences.
Approved by the American Bar Association, the program is available online and in the Los Angeles area. It blends thorough theoretical instruction with practical training on paralegal responsibilities in legal settings.
To complete this program, students must finish 90 quarter units, including 8 legal specialty courses. The American Bar Association mandates a minimum of 27 quarter units in general education across three disciplines, such as social sciences, natural sciences, math, humanities, foreign languages, or English.
All lower-division general education requirements must be fulfilled at National University or another regionally-accredited school. Students without transfer credits may need to take additional general electives to meet the total unit requirement.
