Higher education administrators need to be equipped to guide faculty and staff while overseeing the comprehensive operations of academic institutions. The Master of Science in Higher Education Administration equips students with the essential leadership competencies required for these roles in postsecondary education.
This program covers foundational higher education principles, administrative leadership, strategic planning for academic programs and student support services, plus techniques for navigating organizational change in evolving settings. Students will develop skills for building impactful community partnerships, addressing varied stakeholder needs, and staying attuned to emerging trends along with critical financial and legal considerations in higher education.
To earn the Master of Science in Higher Education Administration, candidates must successfully finish a minimum of 45 quarter units of graduate coursework. Up to 4.5 quarter units may be transferred from previous graduate studies at other institutions, provided they are relevant to this degree, weren't applied toward another advanced degree, and were completed within the last seven years.
