To tackle the wide range of challenges in data science and analytics, National University has developed an up-to-date curriculum featuring foundational courses in statistics along with four specialized tracks for applying data science in distinct areas: Artificial Intelligence and Optimization, Business Science and Analytics, Database Science and Analytics, and Health Science and Analytics.
NU's Master of Science in Data Science emphasizes building, deploying, and managing the technical infrastructure required for handling big data effectively, covering databases, data warehouses, machine learning, programming for analytics, and AI. A $20 million grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) supports a collaboration among top-tier institutions, with UC San Diego leading the effort alongside National University, Yale, MIT, the University of Pennsylvania, and UT Austin. This alliance will establish The Institute for Learning-enabled Optimization at Scale (TILOS).
Over five years, our research initiative will concentrate on enhancing AI and machine learning optimization. Partnering with industry experts, we'll create optimization solutions to drive tangible advancements in critical sectors like semiconductor design, robotics, and network communications. Cutting-edge analytical tools will be integrated throughout the program.
